The data storage systems produced by Network Appliance, market leader in NAS storage technology, are available to be used and acquired under the SoD program (SoD stands for “Storage on Demand”). Under the SoD program, the customer chooses the storage capacity that thinks will need, with the comfort that he/she will only pay for the actual amount of storage Gb used, as monitored and measured on a weekly basis. Whenever usage increases, the customer ends up paying more, but the opposite holds: during the periods of lower usage, the bill is also lower!
Pulsar manages the monitoring of the storage systems, and provides Network Appliance with the SoD program managing infrastructure. Any customer reaching usage near a specified safety margin will trigger the immediate shipment and installation of additional storage capacity, with no action needed from the customer side. Therefore, the SoD program does not interfere with the customer’s normal business activities. The customer can forget all about storage, and think only on his/her core business. |
