Madrid, August 27, 2007.- Pulsar Technologies, a company specialized in the area of monitoring and pay per use, announces the commercial launch of a new version of its appliance tool: Vigia2, RACK version.

Vigia is an appliance –combination of hardware and software- designed for the Network monitoring. Vigia has a powerful communications capacity, as it easily handles the sending and managing of alarms and reports generation.

The new Vigia version includes many improvements and added capacity in order to present more detailed information on the devices attached in the Network. It is also easier to configure and to use Vigia.

In addition to the updating of all monitoring and managing applications contained within Vigia2, it now includes a new one: MRTG (Multi Router Traffic Grapher); the MRTG tool will allow the user to see all values related to every device monitored.

Another of the improvements is the capacity of the user to launch and manage Autodiscover, an application that will find all the IPs within the network, the open ports in each server, and the server parameters without installing any software clients (through the use of the SNMP protocol), and the traffic between different interfaces.

Vigia2 also includes more options to set up the different network protocols to be analyzed; developing new customer-specific plugins is now easier.

Another strong reason behind the launch is that now Vigia2 is just another IT hardware, and therefore it will be placed in the CPD to ensure its correct functioning next to the rest of the core IT”.

Among other new features it is important to mention the new graphical interface, much more attractive, intuitive, and easier to use. Pulsar has also improved the support web to further improve the customer support services attached to Vigia2.
